Jewelry photography prompts: 30 to copy and paste.

Before you start

A good jewelry prompt has five parts

1. The piece. Say exactly what it is: metal, finish, stones, size. "A thin 14k yellow gold band with one 3 mm round diamond" beats "a gold ring".

2. Where it is. On a hand, an ear, a neckline, or on a surface: marble, linen, velvet, wood.

3. The light. Soft window light, warm golden hour, or bright studio light. Light decides whether metal looks expensive.

4. The camera. Close-up macro, a 50 mm portrait, or overhead flat lay. Name a shallow depth of field for a blurred background.

5. What must not change. End with "keep the jewelry exactly as in the reference photo, same shape, size, colour and stones". This is the line most people forget.
