Every Hapto Verified photograph was checked against the seller's own photograph of the piece — metal colour, stones, structure, size, finish, how the piece sits in the scene, and where it sits — or its credit went back on its own.
Every certificate has a permanent public address. If you were handed a code on a tag, a bill or a listing, open it — you do not need an account, and nothing of the seller’s is on the page.
The machine
The check.
Every photograph is put to the check against the photograph you uploaded — metal colour, stones, structure, size, finish, how the piece sits in the scene, and where it sits. A photograph that misses a line is shot again, up to twice. If it still misses, it reaches you anyway, without the mark, and its credit goes back to your account on its own. Where the piece sits too small in the frame to read, the check abstains rather than guess: that photograph is named on your order, and carries no mark. An unread photograph is not a bad one — so nothing is returned for it automatically, and if you can see it is not true to your piece you can say so and we review it. Past a daily ceiling the automatic return is made by hand — nothing you are owed is lost.
The check fails objective things. It does not decide whether you like the picture.

- You upload one photograph of the piece.
- The studio shoots it.
- The shot is put to the check against your photograph.
- A shot that misses is taken again — up to twice.
- A shot the check cannot read at that distance is named, not guessed at — and you can tell us if it is not true to your piece.
- It reaches you either way. If it still missed, the credit is already back.

At this size a percentage would move on one photograph, so we do not print one. We publish it from the 200th assessed certificate, on whichever side of our band it lands. This is every certificate, not a sample.

The register is not a list of successes. This certificate belongs to a photograph that missed its check, was shot again, missed again, and reached the seller marked — with its credit already returned.
