Meri dukaan pe customer 4Cs bol ke rate poochta hai — is this calculator's price final?

No — it is an honest estimate from grade tables, not a certificate or a quote. Two stones with identical 4Cs can differ 15–20% on fluorescence, girdle and market mood. Use the band to sanity-check a dealer's quote, and edit the rate table to your own market's numbers.

Lab-grown itna sasta kyun dikh raha hai — calculator galat toh nahi?

It is correct: by 2026 lab-grown wholesale sits 80–90% below natural for the same grades. The slider defaults to 85% and you can set your own discount. Same sparkle on the counter — which is exactly why the twin natural-vs-lab sheet is your best sales tool.

How do I calculate a diamond's price from the 4Cs?

Start with a per-carat base rate for the stone's weight bracket, then apply the colour, clarity, cut and shape factors and multiply by the carat weight. The rate table here opens a 1.00 ct round G · VS1 · Excellent at ₹4,20,000 per carat; the same stone at I · SI1 lands roughly 40% lower. Every cell is editable to your market, and the answer comes out as a band, not one figure.

Why do 0.99 carat diamonds barely exist?

Because price steps up at the round weights rather than rising smoothly. A stone just under 1.00 ct prices on the lower weight bracket, so a cutter loses money stopping there and holds the full carat instead. When your weight sits within 0.03 ct of a bracket edge, this tool says so and shows both per-carat bases.

What GST applies on a loose diamond in India?

1.5% on a loose cut and polished stone, and 0.25% on rough. Once the diamond is set into jewellery the whole piece bills at 3% instead, so a loose-stone estimate and a finished-ring bill are taxed on different lines. The estimate here stays ex-GST until you switch the 1.5% line on, and it prices the loose stone.

Does strong fluorescence reduce a diamond's price?

It depends on the colour grade, which is why one rule of thumb misleads. On D to F stones strong blue fluorescence is priced down — this tool applies ×0.90. On G to J the market largely shrugs, ×1.00. On K to M it can whiten the stone and is priced up a touch, ×1.02. Switch it on and that line shows in the breakdown under the band.

Is this diamond price estimator free?

Yes — every stone, no daily limit, and the A4 estimate sheet in three designs. Tools Pro adds five more sheet designs, up to 20 saved dealer quotes with three compared side by side, your edited rate table remembered between visits, melee and parcel mode for setting lots, and a natural-versus-lab sheet.
