Sellers also ask
How much commission does Meesho charge on jewellery?
Meesho charges 0% commission on most categories including jewellery — but GST on fees, shipping and returns still eat margin. This calculator shows what you actually keep per piece, line by line, and every rate is editable.
What are Amazon's fees for selling artificial jewellery?
Jewellery referral fees on Amazon typically run 5–16% depending on price band, plus a closing fee. The calculator ships with editable defaults (13% + ₹20) so you can match your exact rate card and see the honest profit.
Is this marketplace fee calculator free?
Fully free, forever — every marketplace, every line of the breakdown. Tools Pro adds saved pieces, a side-by-side marketplace comparison and CSV export.
Do I have to pay GST on Meesho and Amazon seller fees?
Yes — marketplace fees carry 18% GST, charged on the commission and the fixed or closing fee together. That rate is set by law, so the calculator applies it as a line you cannot edit, kept separate from the product GST — 3% for most jewellery — that you remit on the sale itself.
Why is my real profit less than selling price minus cost?
Because four more lines sit between them: the marketplace commission, the fixed or closing fee, 18% GST on those fees, and the product GST you remit — which is worked on the taxable value (price ÷ 1.03 at a 3% slab), not the sticker price. Courier you pay comes off as well. The breakdown lists each line and marks anything under 15% margin as thin.
How do I account for returns and RTO when pricing jewellery online?
Enter two numbers: the share of orders that come back, and what one return actually costs you — courier both ways, repacking, the occasional damaged piece. That loss is then spread across the pieces that stay sold, so a 10% return rate at ₹120 a return adds about ₹13 to every delivered order. Leave both at 0 and returns are skipped entirely.
Is Meesho or Amazon better for selling jewellery?
It depends on the price band, not on one being cheaper overall. A ₹20 fixed fee is about 4% of a ₹499 jhumka but under 1% of a ₹2,499 set, so low-price pieces suffer most from flat fees, while pricier pieces can absorb a percentage cut and still clear margin. Run the same piece through each tab and read the profit line; the three-way side-by-side table comes with Tools Pro.
What fees does Flipkart charge on jewellery?
Flipkart charges a commission plus a fixed fee on each order, and both vary by category and price band, so the only reliable figure is the one on your own Flipkart rate card. This calculator opens with editable defaults of 12% and ₹20, and remembers whatever you change for each marketplace separately, so your next piece opens with your real rates.
