Photo Privacy Cleaner

Strip location and camera data before photos leave your home studio — see exactly what was removed.

  1. The photos

Drop up to 10 photos — every hidden field read out, then stripped.

The reading and the cleaning run on your device, so a large batch stays quick even on a slow line. Every run is recorded with your account — the counts and settings, and any file you download — so your saved work can hand this batch back later. See our privacy policy for what is kept and how to have it removed.

  2. The full report is free — nothing about your own privacy ever sits behind a wall.

A normal WhatsApp send strips most of this — but Send as document and HD sends keep the original file, GPS and all, and that is exactly how sellers share catalogue shots. Clean once here and every copy is safe wherever it travels — the cleaning runs on your device; your photos and runs are stored securely with your account — see our privacy policy.

Sellers also ask

Will cleaning reduce my photo quality?

The photo is re-saved once at 92–95% quality — side by side you will not see the difference, and we show the before/after file size for every photo. Rotation is baked in so nothing turns sideways. One honest note: iPhone photos convert to standard sRGB colour, which can shift tones very slightly.

Doesn't WhatsApp remove this data anyway?

On a normal compressed send, yes. But 'Send as document' and HD sends keep the original file — GPS and all — and that is exactly how sellers share catalogue shots. Clean once here and every copy is safe, wherever it travels. The cleaning runs on your device, and every run is recorded with your account — counts, settings and any file you download — see our privacy policy.

What is EXIF data in a photo?

EXIF is the set of notes your camera writes inside the image file — a GPS pin, the phone make and model, the date and time of the shot, and often the editing app you used. Photos can also carry XMP and IPTC notes plus a small embedded preview, and that preview can hold its own GPS pin. A pin is accurate to roughly 11 metres, which points at a rooftop, not a city.

How many photos can I clean for free in a day?

Ten downloads a day on the free plan, and a ZIP of a whole batch counts as one of those ten. Reading what is hidden inside is free and is not counted at all — you see the full findings before you decide anything. A free pass takes up to 10 photos at a time; Tools Pro raises one batch to 200.

Why won't my iPhone photos open in the cleaner?

Most likely they are HEIC files. This tool cleans JPG and PNG, so a HEIC or HEIF photo is refused with a note rather than silently skipped. Convert first — share the photo from your iPhone and choose JPEG, or set Settings, Camera, Formats to Most Compatible so new shots save as JPG. Files over 50 MB are also turned away, and animated GIFs are left untouched so the animation is not flattened.

Can a buyer find my home address from a jewellery photo?

Yes, if the original file reaches them — a GPS pin inside a photo is accurate to about 11 metres, which points at one house, not a neighbourhood. The risk is highest where files travel raw: email attachments, Drive links, and folders handed to a reseller or photographer. Cleaning cannot fix everything, though: a room reflected in a polished stone stays in the pixels, and a name like IMG_20260814 still gives away the shoot date.

Does removing photo data hurt my Meesho or Google listing?

No. Meesho, Amazon and Flipkart judge an image on its size, dimensions and background, not on the notes buried inside the file, and Google Images reads the filename, the alt text and the page around the photo. Stripping a GPS pin costs you nothing on any of them. If you want your name to travel with the file, Tools Pro writes your shop name and © back into each cleaned JPG after the strip.
