IMG_4421.jpg becomes gold-jhumka-22k-001.jpg — a whole folder at a time, pattern-built.
Start from a drop you have done before
The photos
Drop up to 30 photos — they stay on your device while you work, and your originals are never altered.
The photos are never re-encoded — the ZIP carries the original bytes, so nothing is compressed and no detail is lost. That also means whatever is inside the photo travels with it, including the location pin: clean it first with the Photo Privacy Cleaner if you shot at home.
Tap the piece, the metal and the purity; type the one keyword buyers actually search.
Let AI name each photooptional
One pattern fits one kind of piece. A mixed folder wants a look at every photo.
The Pro finishing
Batches to 500 photos with the daily count lifted, saved naming schemes per marketplace, the CSV manifest for Shopify or Amazon, template alt text on every row, Amazon SKU mode (MAIN, PT01…PT08, SWCH) and cross-batch dedupe against everything you have already shipped.
Checking your Tools Pro membership…
Every row, old name to new. Edit anything — it re-slugs when you leave the field.
Your renamed folder appears here
Drop a folder in, tap the pattern together, and every photo comes out named the way Google Images and the marketplaces read names — same bytes, new labels, one ZIP.
Sellers also ask
Does renaming touch my photo quality?
No. We change only the name — the file's bytes are copied into the ZIP exactly as they were, pixel for pixel. Nothing is compressed or re-saved. One thing to know: whatever was inside the photo stays inside, including location data — run the Photo Privacy Cleaner first if you shot at home.
What file names does Google actually prefer?
Short, lowercase, hyphen-separated words that describe the picture — gold-jhumka-22k-bridal-001.jpg tells Google Images exactly what it is; IMG_4421.jpg tells it nothing. Keep it under about 60 characters, put the important words first, and never use spaces or underscores.
How do I rename 200 jewellery photos at once instead of one by one?
Drop the whole folder in, set the pattern once — metal, piece, purity, your keyword, then a counter — and every photo is renamed in one pass and comes back as a single ZIP. Free covers 30 photos a batch, three batches a day; Tools Pro renames up to 500 in one pass. If you split a big folder, start the second batch's counter where the first one ended and the numbering stays continuous.
What do MAIN, PT01 and SWCH mean in Amazon image file names?
They are Amazon's image slots on one parent listing: MAIN is the photo buyers see first, PT01 to PT08 are the extra angles, SWCH is the swatch — written as SKU.MAIN.jpg, SKU.PT01.jpg and so on. A parent holds ten seats, one photo each. Naming a batch by slot is part of Tools Pro, and you can move any photo to a different slot before you download.
Will renaming my photos improve my Meesho or Flipkart ranking?
Not directly — marketplace search reads your title, category and attributes, not the image file name. The file name earns its keep on Google Images, on your own website or Shopify listing, and on Amazon, where the name tells the listing which slot a photo belongs in. The quieter gain is your own folder: 300 files called IMG_4421 cost you time on every re-upload.
Can I use Hindi words like झुमका in my photo file names?
Better not in the file itself — Devanagari becomes percent-encoded characters in a web address, and several listing tools mangle it. This tool converts the common shop words for you: झुमका becomes jhumka, मंगलसूत्र becomes mangalsutra, कुंदन becomes kundan. Type the word the way you say it and the name that ships is plain lowercase letters with hyphens.
Should the file name say 916 or 22K?
Use whichever one your buyers type. 916 is the BIS purity mark for 22K gold — 91.6% pure metal — so the two say the same thing, and a hallmark-minded buyer often searches 916 while others search 22K. Both sit in the purity list along with 18k, 14k, 925 and 999, and Tools Pro lets you save a separate pattern for each marketplace.
